What appears when a window is photographed has as much to do with one’s gaze as it does with the particular intricacies of that moment. Pilgrimage aims to reckon with the window as the space between spaces, separating the mystical internal world and the physical external world. Such is the realm we spiritual, biological beings occupy, between the internal and external, each affecting the other to dictate our every experience, and by extension, our sense of self.
