My earliest memories of creative expression take me back to a small frame loom and hours spent weaving and unraveling the same yarn. Falling in love with the meditative act, I’d create small strips of fabric with no particular function.
For the same reason, I fell in love with tatreez embroidery, which I’d proudly share with my grandmother over the years until her passing. Tatreez ties me to a longstanding Levantine art form rich with history and cultural symbolism.
